StatusLane ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard data when you use statuslane.online ("the Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address. We use magic link authentication — no passwords are stored.
Content you create: Status page names, slugs, descriptions, component names and descriptions, incident titles, and update messages you publish through the Service.
Subscriber emails: Email addresses of users who subscribe to status updates on pages you manage. These are stored on your behalf.
Billing information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number — only the last 4 digits and billing metadata provided by Stripe.
Usage data: Server logs, IP addresses, browser type, and pages accessed, used for security monitoring and performance optimization. This data is not sold or shared with third parties.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Service
- To send authentication magic links and transactional emails
- To send status update notifications to subscribers on your behalf
- To process billing and manage your subscription
- To respond to support requests
- To improve the Service through anonymized usage analytics
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
4. Data Sharing
We share data with the following third-party service providers, strictly as necessary to operate the Service:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Stripe — payment processing
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
All providers are contractually obligated to handle data securely and not use it for their own purposes beyond service delivery.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of StatusLane or its users.
5. Subscriber Data
When visitors subscribe to status updates on your public page, their email addresses are stored in our database associated with your account. You are the data controller for your subscribers. We act as a data processor on your behalf.
Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time via the link included in every notification email. Unsubscribed emails are removed from your notification list.
If you delete your status page or account, all associated subscriber data is permanently deleted.
6. Cookies
We use the following cookies:
- Authentication session — required to keep you logged in
- NEXT_LOCALE — stores your language preference
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g., billing records).
Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed authentication tokens, and row-level security on all database tables. Access to production data is strictly limited.
While we take security seriously, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique email address and report any suspected security issues to hello@statuslane.online.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Export your data in a portable format

10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
